Fire Station

Fire StationThis 13 - part docu-soap follows the lives of a team of Toronto firefighters. From the tedium of polishing equipment while waiting for "the call" to the adrenaline rush of fighting a fire, to the ups and downs of their personal relationships, the audience will eat, sleep and live with the characters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

"FIRE STATION really gets into the heart and soul of our characters. With 56 men and 1 woman stationed at the Clermont Fire Hall in downtown Toronto, you will get to meet a wide variety of personalities. And, the viewer will really get a sense of what it takes to be a fire fighter -- the skills, the training as well as the incredible compassion" explains Executive Producer Ina Fichman.

The audience will hear from personalities like fire chief Paul Halls, a 20 year veteran who says that the "fire service made him a man". Then, there's "Ma" Cooper who makes sure that all his "kids" perform their chores so that their home-way-from-home is in tip top shape. FIRE STATION also charts the progress of Tamara Lanthier, an aspiring firefighter who is determined to meet the demands of a rigorous training program and selection process.

Over the course of the series, FIRE STATION covers a diversity of situations that firefighters have to contend with. These "calls" range from accidents (which represent 45% of their calls), to medical emergencies, to roof fires to garage fires, and even false alarms.
