More than 400 years ago, The Lacandon Maya escaped the Spanish invasion by fleeing in the Mexican jungle. One of the few remaining ancient people in the world, they are now catapulted into modern civilization within the space of one generation, threatening their existence.
Their spiritual leader, Chan K'in, died at 110 years old. His son's struggle to keep his father's legacy alive is aided by the window of an explorer who discovered them in 1960.
