Classic China Animation Collection - Shanghai Animation Studio

Delphis is proud to present a collection of hundreds of classic Chinese animation titles, in features or medium length, produced by Shanghai Animation Studio (SAS). Established in 1957, SAS is world known for its high quality films made with different techniques that are borrowed from Chinese art forms, such as water ink painting or paper cutting or paper folding. Films such as where is Mum, Monkey King’s Uproar in Heaven, Panda’s Store, Three Monks, Cowboy’s Flute, etc, have won SAS over 200 awards internationally and thus their reputation as “Disney of the Orient.” Some of these films are theatrically or DVD released in France, Spain or Japan. Others like Lotus Lantern were national blockbusters.
